Semi high speed
The Vande Bharat Express is the first of many more trains capable of running at 160 kmph. This train seeks to accelerate the introduction in Indian Railways of semi-high-speed travel.
Automatic sliding doors
The Tejas Express had introduced sliding doors, but this will be the first time the doors have sliding footsteps to make boarding and de-boarding easier for passengers in the Vande bharat express.
Train 18will have European-styled seats that, according to an ICF official, will also have European-style frames that make it more substantial and more durable. Such seats will also look stylish in addition to comfort.
Like any other train, there will also be a pantry for this train.And like the Shatabdi Express Trains, each Train 18 coach will have a mini-pantry with food heating and beverage cooling chambers. The main difference, however, would be that there would be comparatively better pantry facilities. The heating and cooling equipment would be of better quality and better maintained so that the food on the train is edible.
By making Train 18 a disabled-friendly train, the Indian Railways decided to take a noteworthy measure. Many Vande Bharat Express coaches have parking spaces for wheelchairs, making the journey more convenient and secure for the disabled.
The Vande Bharat Express will depart from Delhi station at 6:00 a.m. to reach Varanasi station at 2:00 p.m. The Vande Bharat Express will leave Varanasi at 3 p.m. on its return journey to arrive in Delhi at 11 p.m.Five days a week, Vande Bharat Express will run on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
