How to prevent digestive issues naturally


What one eats add to their daily health nourishment and at the same time it can also boost up the digestive system. But sometimes there can be problem there as well.

Digestive system and the regular functioning happening there can be hampered when one eats too much of processed, oily and fried foods. This can create some accumulation of undigested residue of foods and this can also lead to formation of toxins in the body. According to Ayurveda, one must go for digestive system syrup in order to make the procedure normal.

This can balance the metabolic fire and one also needs to follow some good eating habits to keep things under control. According to Ayurveda, here are a few things to follow:

  • One must eat only when they feel hungry.
  • One must keep at least 3 hours of gaps in between every meals so that the meal they had previously gets digested properly.
  • Do not go for wet, spicy and cold food all the time.
  • They must keep their diet simple and go for food which gets digested easily. One can have ghee which can stimulate the agni and improves the digestion procedure. Also when eating, proper chewing is very much needed.

If one is suffering from constipation then they can make a drink comprising of salt, ghee and hot water.  The ghee will lubricate the intestine while the salt will remove the bacteria. They also have anti inflammatory properties that can help in the digestion procedure. One can also eat a ripe banana after 2 hours of their meal along with a glad of hot milk to get rid of constipation.

If one feels bloated most of the time, they must depend on warm water. One can add some fennel seeds with a glass of warm water or can go with ginger slices along with a drop of honey. This can aid the digestion process and reduce the gas formation.

Are you suffering from an acid reflux?  Then one can use basil leaves along with clove and chew it slowly. One can also drink coconut water along with homemade plain yogurt so that it can aid digestion and reduces the irritation that is happening in the stomach. It is a good idea to take a table spoon of rock salt, roasted jeera and grated ginger together to have it.

When one is suffering from diarrhea then they can have a soup or a curry made from tomatoes and then eats it with rice. This can be the perfect remedy for it. Also, it is recommended to drink a lot of water when one is suffering from diarrhea.

In case of indigestion one can also cook vegetables in a broth or a soup and have it. This can prevent the turbulence happening in the stomach.

In case of digestive syrup India one must look for things that have ingredients like papaya, kachur, sonth and vidang. But one must ask a physician first before taking the tonic.
